OpenNode CLI Management

Introduction

OpenNode host supports variety of console tools for a local VM management - no need for a OpenNode Management Server. As well as providing our own OpenNode CLI utility we also do provide and support well-known standard CLI tools like:

  • vzctl and virsh for a OpenVZ containers management
  • virt-install for a KVM VM creation
  • virsh for a KVM VM management

Remote/central CLI management is possible with func shell in OpenNode Management Server or using libvirt compatible tools.

OpenNode CLI Utility (as of OpenNode 1.1)

OpenNode CLI Utility runs every time you log into host console (locally or via ssh) and offers console based graphical menu interface for executing the following features:

  • local VM templates management (OVF format) - download, update, delete, create, deploy VM templates - both OpenVZ and KVM
  • virsh CLI console for OpenVZ or KVM
  • node registration request generation for OpenNode Management Server (OMS)
  • OpenNode Management Server installation (if one would like to run OMS VM on this node)
